Today is video promotion day.
This is going to be really easy if you have already created your social media accounts. If you’ve been following along with the previous days, then you already have and you’re ready to begin your video promotion.
If you didn’t create a YouTube account when you created all of your other social media accounts, then you’ll need to do so now. YouTube will an important part of your video promotion.
Once your account has been created you will upload your video – the one you created yesterday – to YouTube. You can do that here.
If you struggle using YouTube’s interface you can find help here.
Remember when uploading your video that you need to include your focus keywords in the title. This will help to get you organic traffic through the search engines.
YouTube have also kindly given you a description box where you can include a link back to your website. Place your link near the beginning of your video description, with the full URL; for example – http://www.yourdomain.com.
Your video description should be clear, concise and also include all of your keywords. It’s a really good idea to search out other videos in your niche if you’re struggling with titles or descriptions. Using the tactics that your competition use – providing they are successful – is a great way to figure out what will work for you.
Tags are also very important for organic search traffic, so be sure to add some of your relevant keywords as tags to your video.
Video promotion across social media is an amazing way to find new traffic.
Now you want to use your uploaded video link to share it to your other social media accounts. Your Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram profiles are all great video promotion tools.
Remember to also share it to a page that you manage on Facebook, if you have one. There are also many groups on Facebook. There will be several that are relevant to your niche and posting in these can get you quite a lot of traffic. This is also true for Pinterest Boards.
Since you will be doing a lot of posting and sharing throughout all of your social media accounts I will suggest a few tools that can help with that. Some of them even offer you free marketing training once you create an account with them.
Here are just three:
- Hootsuite – They have a limited free plan which is great for just getting started. Or you could jump straight in at $20 per month.
- Buffer – Also offer a limited free plan to get you started with paid options beginning from $10 per month.
- Social Oomph – Offer a pretty limited free plan, but their professional plan is fairly extensive.
